Exploring Cartagena, Spain, I was captivated by its charming blend of ancient history and vibrant life. The old-style buildings, steeped in history, made me feel like I’d stepped back in time.

Currently, my husband and I are in Spain. We are visiting his old friend, a colleague he has known for many years. This friend, now divorced and living alone, had recently purchased a charming home in Los Alcázares, a small town near the sea. Los Alcazarez is part of Murcia.

The house, he bought for around 90,000 Euros, was lovely and within walking distance to the beach, which made for peaceful morning walks during our stay.

He decided to take us on a little adventure to the neighboring town of Cartagena. I had heard of Cartagena before but didn’t know much about it. As we approached the city, I was immediately struck by its blend of old and new. Modern buildings stood alongside ancient structures, and the history of the place seemed to whisper from every corner.
