I Did Not Clap Madame Butterfly The Opera Show in Bregenz
The theatre was too cold to set and windy but the sunset color was amazing
What is Madame Butterfly?
Madame Butterfly is a popular opera that has been enjoyed by audiences for many years. The story is set in Japan and tells the tragic tale of a young geisha named Butterfly who falls in love with an American naval officer.
Despite their different backgrounds, the two lovers are determined to be together and make a life together. However, their happiness is short-lived as cultural differences and family pressures force them apart.
The 2 hours with no break Madame Butterfly (the Opera)
What I did not like about is that the show was sung on a high pitch the entire time. I did not understand the language because it was all Italian.
I do listen to Italian music and I even have a CD collection of Italian songs. This cd collection is pleasant to listen to, but not the Madame Butterfly opera show in Bregenz, Austria.
I was just annoyed with the high-pitched tone of voice. I did like the Phantom of the Opera. Madam Butterly wasn’t like this. Though people were clapping but weren’t me. I felt sorry.
The stage setup was impressive
I must say the designer and director of the entire setup are very artistic people. I have no words to say but beautiful. The colors and effects of lighting were so dramatic.
I like theatre shows very much. In fact, in Singapore, I paid a high price ticket just to see this type of show.
Most of all the sunset before the show was so picturesque.
One question I would ask the entire team. Could it be better to use the English language rather than Italian? After all, the show was held in Austria.
