Only In The Philippines: My Grab Taxi Plate Number Is Different than the One I Ordered!
The Philippines is a country full of surprises. One of which is the GrabTaxi app. The app lets you order a taxi using your mobile phone. The only problem is that the taxi plates here are different than the ones you order.
I booked a grab taxi through the Grab app that was installed years ago on my mobile phone. Whenever I need a taxi, I think of Grab Taxi.
In Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam, Grab taxi is my go-to transport. For me, safety is very important. With Grab taxi, I can read the plate number, vehicle descriptions, and the name of the driver and his or her face.
I then take a screenshot of the information given on the app and send it to someone who is close to me like my husband and close friends if I am in a foreign country.
To my surprise, when I book a grab here in Davao City, Philippines, the vehicle arrived as I see it on the app, the description of the body and the plate number is not the same.
So, I ignored the driver. Until he gets out of the taxi vehicle he was driving and called my name
