Rejoicing in Good Food and Friends

Food is an integral part of life, something that brings us all together. It can be comforting, energizing, and even enjoyable.

Grateful to be able to see some of my Filipino friends in Singapore recently. We were having some real Filipino food that I somehow miss for not having it in about over a year ago.

Something fun you must know about Filipino

My friends understand, that I am somehow picky with food, but not this time as I need to give them a treat.

Young friend: Ate? What do you want to eat for lunch?

(Ate = means big sister in our language)

Me: I think you guys choose the place. I am okay with anything.

Young friend: Okay, Ate, we shall go to Lucky Plaza, and let’s have some Boodle fight! (Lucky Plaza is the gathering place for Filipinos in Singapore).

Me: A what? A fight?

Young friend: Yes, Ate fight eating.

So here we go, Catherine, Beth, Esther, and me.

Each time I am with my Filipino friends, they always give me surprises. Oh, Yea! Filipino are Fun, Loving People. (FLP).
