The Klausen Pass Drive in Switzerland Leaves me Breathless with Beauty
Recently, during my stay in Austria, a dear friend from a nearby town paid a visit to my husband and me in Feldkirch, which is situated near the border of Liechtenstein. On a weekend, we opted to embark on a drive to Klausen Pass in Switzerland, a breathtaking mountain pass nestled in the Swiss Alps, connecting the cantons of Uri and Glarus.
As we ascended a winding mountain road, the fresh air and breathtaking scenery captivated me. The road was occasionally narrow, requiring us to pull over to yield to oncoming traffic.
Our adventure began in Feldkirch, and after approximately 1.5 hours of driving, we reached this enchanting destination. The slopes and hillside cottages presented a striking tableau.
Approaching the summit, the clouds grew denser, and despite the season being summer, a noticeable chill permeated the air.
