Wings of Wonder
At 5 AM, a flight from Singapore to Davao unveils a dramatic scene.
Through the window, the sky unfolds,
A canvas of sky, red and gold.
The plane ascends, my heart takes flight,
A trembling beat, both fear and delight.
Each journey feels both old and new,
A fleeting moment, a timeless view.
The wing cuts through the sunlit haze,
Dancing on clouds in a fiery blaze.
At takeoff’s roar, my breath is tight,
As earth below fades from sight.
Yet wonder blooms, despite the fear,
Each sunset whispers, “You belong here.”
A frame of beauty, hard to seize,
Captured in fleeting skies with ease.
The heart will race, the hands may shake,
But through the lens, my soul will wake.
